Greetings to all!
The month of May was pretty busy and chaotic for most of us with the Food
Drive, The Star Trek premier and Marcon. I
haven't had an opportunity to talk to everyone to let you know the results
of our Food Drive and several people have
inquired about it. My apologies for the delay.
First, I want to thank all the ships, organizations and individuals who came
out to support our cause. Your help and support and
most of all, your friendship, mean a great deal to all of us here at Star
Base. Without you, we couldn't do what we do.
Please know that we value and appreciate all of you. I hope that we can all
continue to work together on future projects in the
spirit of fun , fellowship and helping others.
As for the results of the Food Drive - we collected 268 lbs of food. One
pound = one meal. This is enough to feed
a family of 4 for nearly 2 months! This is absolutely fantastic! I received
a very nice Thank You from the Mid Ohio
Food Bank. In addition, the day's activities and donations raised an
additional $125.00. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
